> Structured data, sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt generated for your site, plus a scored audit of your current site. What Pilotiko does for Google and AI.

Updated on October 15, 2026 · https://app.pilotiko.com/en/product/seo-aeo-geo

Google and AI visibility is available in Pilotiko for the site it hosts: schema.org structured data, a sitemap, robots.txt and an llms.txt file are generated with every version. Pilotiko also audits your current site and scores it out of 100. IndexNow submission is coming soon.

## In short
- Status: available. Markup, sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt and the audit work today.
- Structured data: LocalBusiness or Organization, WebSite, breadcrumbs, Service, and FAQPage when a real FAQ exists.
- The audit crawls up to 60 pages and scores 7 categories, from technical to conversion.
- Coming soon: IndexNow. Missing: Search Console submission, AI-specific checks in the audit.

## What do SEO, AEO and GEO mean?

SEO aims at ranking in search engine results. AEO aims at providing the direct answer an engine displays or reads out. GEO aims at being cited by generative engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity.

All three rest on the same base: a site robots can crawl that clearly says who you are, what you do and where. Google describes structured data as a standardized format for providing information about a page and generally recommends JSON-LD [1]. The glossary covers [GEO](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/glossary/geo), and the guide to [showing up in ChatGPT and AI answers](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/guides/show-up-in-chatgpt-and-ai-answers) goes deeper.

The llms.txt file is a proposal, not an established standard: a Markdown file at the site root whose only required element is an H1 title, followed by a summary and lists of links [2]. Pilotiko generates it because it costs nothing and describes the site honestly, without promising that any AI assistant will read it.

## What does Pilotiko generate in every hosted site?

A client site's robots.txt names no AI crawler: it allows them all, like any other robot. That choice matters for GEO. OpenAI, for instance, separates OAI-SearchBot, which surfaces sites in ChatGPT search, from GPTBot, which collects content that may be used to train its models; a site that blocks OAI-SearchBot is not shown in ChatGPT search answers [3]. Pilotiko does not yet offer a per-crawler setting.

| Item | Content | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Head tags | Title, description, canonical URL, Open Graph, Twitter card | Every page |
| LocalBusiness or Organization (JSON-LD) | Name, description, phone, email, address, hours, social profiles, price range | LocalBusiness when address or phone is known |
| Aggregate rating | Observed Google rating and review count | Only when at least one review was observed |
| WebSite and breadcrumbs | Site name and language; Home → page | Home page; other pages |
| Service | Service, offer and price in Canadian dollars | Service pages; price only when known |
| FAQPage | Questions and answers | Only when an FAQ section exists; none is created automatically |
| sitemap.xml | All indexable pages, generation date | When the site address is known |
| robots.txt | Crawling allowed for all, sitemap address | Everything disallowed until the site is public |
| llms.txt | Name, summary, page list, phone and email | Pages kept out of the index are left out |

## What does the audit of your current site check?

The audit crawls your site while respecting its robots.txt and reading its sitemap, without leaving your domain: 25 pages by default, 60 at most. It records specific findings, each with evidence, and turns them into up to 11 opportunities that cite the findings behind them. You launch it from the company profile, and every audit stays available.

- **Technical**: HTTPS, broken pages, redirect chains, missing robots.txt or sitemap, canonical pointing elsewhere.
- **Search**: missing title or one outside 20 to 65 characters, description outside 70 to 160, missing or multiple h1, images without alt text, missing or invalid structured data.
- **Content**: thin pages (under 150 words), duplicate content, missing contact details.
- **Experience**: mobile, navigation, phone number not clickable, dead-end pages.
- **Conversion**: no call to action, form too long, no booking button.
- **Brand** and **performance**: inconsistent name, missing share image, slow response (over 800 ms or 2,000 ms), blocking scripts.

## How is the audit score calculated?

**Example: auditing a Victoria physiotherapy clinic's website**

- Search category: starting score : 100
- 1 critical finding (− 18) : 82
- 3 warnings (− 6 each) : 64
- 5 informational findings (− 1 each) : 59
- Scores of the 7 categories (59, 88, 94, 76, 100, 82, 70): total : 569
- Average of the 7 categories (569 ÷ 7) : 81.3
- **= An overall score of about 81 out of 100; the Search category, at 59, is the one to fix first.**

## What are the limits of Google and AI visibility?

Content remains the main lever. Google accepts AI-assisted content but warns against generating many pages without adding value, and asks you to verify the accuracy of anything generated [5]. That is the rule behind Pilotiko's [content drafting](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/product/content): verified facts and human approval. To test a site right away, try the [AI visibility audit](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/tools/google-ai-visibility-audit). The site itself is described on the [website](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/product/website) page, and audience measurement on the [reports](https://app.pilotiko.com/en/product/reports) page.

- **IndexNow: coming soon.** The protocol lets you notify engines such as Bing, Naver, Seznam.cz, Yandex and Yep that a page changed [4]; Pilotiko does not send it for client sites yet.
- **No submission** to Google Search Console or Bing tools.
- **The audit reads HTML only**: JavaScript is not executed, and no Lighthouse or Core Web Vitals field data is measured.
- **No AI-specific checks** in the audit (llms.txt presence, per-crawler rules).
- **No per-AI-crawler setting** in robots.txt, no llms-full.txt, one language per site.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Pilotiko guarantee the top spot on Google?

No, and nobody can. Pilotiko provides the technical elements Google documents and an audit that shows what to fix; rankings also depend on your content and your competition.

### Will my site show up in ChatGPT?

The generated robots.txt lets every crawler in, OpenAI's included, and an llms.txt describes the site. Nothing guarantees that an AI assistant will cite it.

### Does Pilotiko submit my site to Google?

No. The sitemap is published at the root and listed in robots.txt, but no Search Console submission is made for you.

### Does the audit work on a WordPress or Wix site?

Yes, it reads any public site's HTML. It does not run JavaScript, so content loaded only by script may be missed.

### What is IndexNow and why is it coming soon?

A protocol to tell certain search engines that a page changed. It is not wired up yet for sites Pilotiko hosts.

### Does Pilotiko add customer reviews to structured data?

Only a Google rating that was actually observed, with at least one review. No review is ever invented.
