Google Ads and Meta Ads management: coming soon to Pilotiko

How paid advertising works, how to steer it without Pilotiko, and what Pilotiko already tracks for you.

Google Ads and Meta Ads management is coming soon in Pilotiko: no ad is created or run, and no ad account is connected. Today Pilotiko helps you plan channels, get budgets approved and log spend by hand to work out cost per customer. None of the ad management is included in any plan.

In short

  • Status: coming soon. Pilotiko does not create, edit or run any ad.
  • Available alongside: a budget-based marketing plan, campaigns approved by a named person, logged spend, cost per customer and ROAS.
  • There is no connection to the Google Ads API or Meta's Marketing API.
  • Conversions reported by an ad platform are kept separate and never counted as revenue.

How does a Google Ads or Meta Ads campaign work?

You set a budget and a goal, the platform enters your ads into auctions, then measures what people do after a click: call, form, purchase.

Everything hinges on conversion measurement. On a website, a tag sets a temporary cookie when someone clicks your ad, and the system recognizes that cookie when the person completes the action you defined, such as a purchase, sign-up or call [2].

Google's Smart Bidding strategies (Target CPA, Target ROAS, Maximize conversions, Maximize conversion value) use Google AI to set bids in every auction, and they require conversion tracking to be enabled [1]. On Meta, a campaign is built in layers: the campaign, ad sets, ad creatives and ads [4].

Third-party software that manages campaigns goes through these platforms' programming interfaces. The Google Ads API exists precisely to manage large or complex accounts and campaigns, custom reporting and bidding strategies [3]. Pilotiko uses none of these APIs today.

What does Pilotiko do for advertising today?

The marketing module treats a campaign as a spending commitment. It moves from draft to pending approval, then to active, paused, ended or rejected. The database refuses an active status without a named approver, and going over budget needs the owner's explicit approval. Active means approved and under way according to the business, not served by Pilotiko.

Spend is recorded as fact: you enter it from an invoice or a platform report. Pilotiko rejects future dates and never creates duplicates. It then works out, per channel, cost per lead, cost per acquired customer, conversion rate and ROAS (attributed revenue divided by observed spend). Attribution is linear over 90 days, and no ratio is shown when spend is unknown.

How can you run your ads today without Pilotiko?

To compare the cost of an agency with an in-house team, the agency vs team calculator starts from your own figures.

  • Manage campaigns in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, yourself or through an agency.
  • Turn on conversion tracking before any Smart Bidding strategy; without it, the algorithm has nothing to optimize.
  • Count phone calls, not just forms: for a service business, the call is often the main conversion.
  • Log monthly spend in Pilotiko to see each channel's cost per customer next to your reports.

What does a customer from paid ads really cost you?

What will Pilotiko build for Google Ads and Meta Ads?

The logical first step is reading: syncing spend and conversions from ad accounts so you stop typing them in. The code already has a connected-without-sync state so it never implies tracking that does not exist. Any action that spends money will stay subject to a person's approval, as with AI agents.

Frequently asked questions

Can Pilotiko manage my Google Ads campaigns?

Not today. Pilotiko is not connected to any ad account and creates no ads. It logs your spend and works out cost per customer from the figures you enter.

Is ad management included in a plan?

No. It is a coming-soon capability and is not included in any plan. You can join the waiting list by booking a demo.

What does an active campaign mean in Pilotiko?

That a named person approved the campaign and the business considers it under way. It does not mean Pilotiko is serving it.

Why don't Google or Meta conversions count as revenue?

A conversion reported by a platform is a signal, not money received. Pilotiko keeps it separate and works out ROAS from revenue attributed to real customers.

Do I need conversion tracking for Smart Bidding?

Yes. Google states that conversion tracking must be enabled to use its Smart Bidding strategies.

What can I do in Pilotiko right now?

Build a marketing plan from your budget, get each campaign approved, log monthly spend and read each channel's cost per customer.
