JSON-LD structured data generator for a local business
Fill in a few fields: the generator produces the JSON-LD block to paste into your home page, without sending anything to our servers.
JSON-LD is an invisible block of code that describes your business to search engines: name, type of business, city, phone, website and frequently asked questions. This generator produces a LocalBusiness block (plus FAQPage if you add a question) in the format Google recommends, to paste into your home page's head tag.
In short
- JSON-LD format, recommended by Google for structured data.
- Specific types available: Plumber, Electrician, HVACBusiness, RoofingContractor, Dentist, AutoRepair and more.
- Empty fields are left out: only add information that is true and visible on the page.
How do you install the JSON-LD block on your site?
- 1
Generate the block
Fill in the form above; the result updates as you type.
- 2
Copy the whole block
Including the opening and closing script tags.
- 3
Paste it into the home page
Inside the head tag, or with your tool's custom code option (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify).
- 4
Validate
Paste the page address into Google's Rich Results Test [4].
- 5
Keep it up to date
A phone number or address that changes must also be changed in the JSON-LD.
Which fields should a service SMB include?
| Property | Example | Note |
|---|---|---|
| @type | Plumber | The most specific type that exists in schema.org [3] |
| name | Example Plumbing Inc. | The name on your sign and Google listing |
| address | Laval, QC, CA | Add the street only if customers can visit |
| telephone | +1 450 555-0123 | The same number everywhere (site, Google listing, directories) |
| url | https://www.example.ca | Your site's canonical address |
| openingHours | Mo-Fr 07:00-17:00 | Add by hand: not generated here |
Google states that structured data must describe the visible content of the page [1][2].

Frequently asked questions
Does JSON-LD improve my ranking?
Not directly. It helps Google understand your business and can make your page eligible for some rich results, but Google does not guarantee they will be shown. Content and reputation matter more for ranking.
Where do I paste the code in WordPress?
With a custom header plugin or the theme editor, inside the home page's head tag. Several SEO plugins already generate JSON-LD: make sure you do not end up with two contradictory blocks.
Which type should I choose if my trade is not listed?
LocalBusiness works for any local business, and ProfessionalService for professional services. Check schema.org for a more specific type.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The block is generated in your browser by a small JavaScript program; nothing is sent to Pilotiko.
Should I add an FAQ in JSON-LD?
Only if the questions and answers are visible on the page. Google has reduced how often FAQ rich results appear, but the markup remains readable by search engines and assistants.
